Vande Bharat Express to Connect Ayodhya and Other UP Pilgrimage Sites

A new train called “Vande Bharat Express” is being prepared to connect the important pilgrimage cities of Ayodhya, Prayagraj (Allahabad), and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

This train will run after the successful launch of the Vande Bharat Express between Gorakhpur and Lucknow.

The Northern Railway’s Lucknow Division Administration has submitted a proposal to the Railway Board for this new train service.

Uniting Three Holy Cities

According to information, after the Vande Bharat Express runs from Gorakhpur to Lucknow, the Railway Board is now planning to connect the three major pilgrimage cities – Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi – with a single train.

The Northern Railway’s Lucknow Division has given its approval to this proposal in a meeting with the Railway Board last week.

The operation of the Vande Bharat Express can now begin after the allocation of coaches from the Integrated Coach Factory in Chennai.

Schedule and Route

As per the railway proposal, the Vande Bharat Express will start from Lucknow at 6:00 AM. It will cover the distance to Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.

The entire journey will be completed in about 5.5 hours.

After reaching Ayodhya from Lucknow, the branch line will pass through Sultanpur and Pratapgarh to reach Prayagraj, and from Prayagraj, it will proceed to Varanasi via the Jaunpur route.

The return journey of this train will follow the same route, going from Prayagraj and Ayodhya back to Lucknow.

Speed and Implementation

This route has been approved for a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour, and the train will operate at this speed.

After the proposal, the goal is to have the Vande Bharat Express operational on this route by Diwali.

With the new Vande Bharat Express train, pilgrims and travelers will have a convenient and direct way to travel between the holy cities of Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

The train aims to make these journeys quicker and more accessible for everyone.
