Important Tips for Booking Tickets on Indian Railways

The railway is offering various conveniences to people. These include making it easier for people to book train tickets.

Among these improvements is the option to book unreserved train tickets using your phone.

Passengers can now use the UTS mobile app to book unreserved, platform, and season tickets for all trains.

Using the UTS App

This special train app is available for download on Google Play Store and iOS.

If you want to avoid long queues at railway platforms and book unreserved train tickets from your mobile, you can use the UTS app.

Steps to Book Tickets Using the UTS App

Download and Register: Download the app, sign up, and enter your details. Don’t forget to recharge your wallet through UPI, net banking, credit card, or debit card.

Select Ticket Type: To start booking a train ticket, choose between the paperless or paper option.

Enter Departure and Destination: Enter “From Station” and “Where am I Going?” details.

Payment: Moving forward, you’ll have the option to “Get Fare.” Click on it and make the payment for the fare from your wallet (you can choose other payment options like UPI, net banking, credit card, or debit card).

View Ticket: On the UTS app, you can see your ticket by selecting the “Show Ticket” option.

Paper tickets can be printed using a notice provided in the UTS app, either from the booked ticket ID or from a regular booking counter at the source.

Paperless Tickets

Please note that paperless tickets cannot be canceled. The “Show Ticket” feature of the app allows users to display their ticket to TTE or TC.

By using the UTS app, the process of booking train tickets becomes simpler and more accessible, saving you time and hassle.
