Indian Railways is continuously working to expand its network of semi-high-speed trains. First, the Vande Bharat trains were introduced, and now, Vande Express trains are on the way.
Vande Bharat trains hold the top position in the country’s premium train category. Ever since their introduction, many people prefer traveling on these trains. Soon, Vande Express will provide another affordable travel option for passengers.
Affordable Fares with Vande Express
The testing of Vande Express will begin soon in Mumbai. Before reaching Mumbai, the train arrived in the Mazgaon area, where testing will commence.
This train will be budget-friendly for passengers, offering fares similar to its name, ‘Sadharn Express.’
High-Speed and Comfortable Travel Experience
The fare for this train will be economical, and like Vande Bharat Express, this train will also operate at semi-high speeds, reaching 130 km/h.
It will feature automated doors and consist of 22 coaches. Vande Express Sadharn Express will have non-AC three-tier sleeper coaches. Similar to Vande Bharat, this train will offer amenities like automatic doors.
The train might run on a route from Mumbai to Delhi, and official testing for this route will commence soon.
Introduction of Vande Bharat Express Services
On January 27, 2019, services utilizing 18 train sets were named Vande Bharat Express. The first service of Vande Bharat Express commenced on February 15, 2019.
Passengers have the option of sitting in chair cars or executive chair cars, offering adjustable seats for comfort and convenience, resembling an airline-style experience.
