During the festive season, railways in India are operating a total of 283 special trains to accommodate the increasing number of travelers. The aim is to ease the inconvenience faced by passengers, with a total of 4480 trips planned.

Connecting Major Cities with Special Routes

On occasions like Diwali and Chhath Puja, the number of travelers from various metropolitan cities to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal surges.

To cater to this demand, the railways have prepared special trains connecting major destinations.

Routes like Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Vaishno Devi (Katra), Danapur-Saharsa, Danapur-Bengaluru, Ambala-Saharsa, Muzaffarpur-Yeshvantpur, Puri-Patna, and Okha-Naharlagun, among others, have been established.
