Purnia Welcomes Bharat Gaurav Express Journeying through Saharsa to Explore Eight Sacred Jyotirlingas on November 25th

Great news for the devotees in the Kosi region! Now, people from Kosi region can also embark on a pilgrimage to visit the eight Jyotirlingas.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has decided to operate the Bharat Gaurav Train from Kosi region, under the Bharat Gaurav Train scheme initiated by Indian Railways to boost rail tourism.

This initiative offers a substantial discount of about 33% to promote rail tourism in the region.

Tourist Train to Commence Services from Purnia Junction

The tourist train is all set to commence its services from Purnia Junction on November 25th. The train will stop at various significant locations like Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Nirmali, Jhanjharpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur Junction, Patliputra

Ara, Buxar, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Station, allowing pilgrims to board and explore pilgrimage sites such as Ujjain’s Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarka’s Shri Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Shri Dwarkadhish Temple

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, Shri Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, and Shri Trayambakeshwar Jyotirlinga in Nasik. The train will return on December 7th.

Two Categories of Accommodation

For the first time in the Bharat Gaurav Train, two accommodation categories have been introduced.

Travelers can opt for sleeper class at a cost of Rs. 21,251 per person or standard class, which includes travel in three AC classes, at a cost of Rs. 33,251 per person. Both categories offer comfortable accommodations and facilities.

Passengers will receive vegetarian meals in the morning, afternoon, and evening, along with tea and two bottles of water daily. Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses, customized according to the categories, will be available for sightseeing.

Additionally, each coach will have security guards, cleaning staff, and tour escorts. The train will include LHB coaches for added comfort.

Bharat Gaurav Train’s Journey through Saharsa Junction

Rajesh Kumar, the Joint General Manager of IRCTC Patna, stated that the decision to operate the Bharat Gaurav Train from the Kosi region, passing through Saharsa Junction,

was made in response to the demand from the devotees. The train, equipped with LHB coaches, is dedicated to the pilgrims, ensuring a comfortable and spiritual travel experience.
