Go First cancels All Flights till May 19 (See Why?)

Go First, an airline owned by the Wadia Group, has canceled its flights until May 19, 2023, citing operational reasons.

The airline has informed its passengers through its Twitter handle and apologized for the inconvenience caused to them.

Refunds for the canceled flights will be given to the passengers through the same process as before.

Go First has also shared a link for any kind of information related to the cancellation.

Passengers waiting for refunds:

Last week, Go First had canceled flights until May 12, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had asked the airline to return the money of the affected passengers as soon as possible.

However, most passengers are still waiting for refunds, and credit notes have been issued to them.

The company has not provided any update on the refund process yet.

Company’s statement:

Go First has assured passengers that it understands their concerns about the refunds and is working towards resolving the issue quickly.

The airline has also promised to provide better services in the future.

The full amount of the refund will be credited to the passengers’ accounts, but the exact timeline for the same is unknown.

Go First’s current condition:

Go First is a budget airline that started operations in 2005. It has filed for bankruptcy with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Currently, the airline is only able to operate flights after making cash payments. It also has a total debt of Rs. 6,527 crore.
