The tourism industry in Bhutan is experiencing a remarkable boost, thanks to a large number of foreign tourists flocking to the country.

In particular, tourists from India, USA, UK, Malaysia, and Vietnam are choosing Bhutan as their preferred destination.

The month of April witnessed an impressive 87% increase in tourist arrivals compared to March, with over 13,700 visitors exploring the beauty of Bhutan.

This figure is significantly higher than the 7,000 tourists recorded in March.

The Tourism Department of Bhutan anticipates a substantial surge in tourist numbers for the year 2023, potentially exceeding 98,000 visitors.

Among the countries contributing to the rise in Bhutan’s tourism, India takes the lead with more than 32,500 Indian tourists.

These visitors pay 1,200 Bhutanese currency per night for their stay, demonstrating their interest in exploring Bhutan’s unique offerings.

The actual number of tourists arriving in the country has surpassed the tourism department’s estimates, with a significant increase in Indian tourists.

It is worth noting that Bhutan, a small South Asian country nestled in the Himalayas, captivates tourists with its breathtaking beauty.
