Insights from Railway Minister Vaishnav Recently, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav clarified in a conversation with journalists that

the decision to introduce orange-colored Vande Bharat trains had no political motives. Instead, it was purely based on scientific reasoning.

Easy on the Eyes: Why Orange?

Vaishnav explained that according to science, human eyes perceive yellow and orange colors most easily.

This scientific fact has led to approximately 80% of trains in Europe being either orange or a combination of yellow and orange hues.

The Maiden Journey of Orange Vande Bharat

Prime Minister Modi Flags off the Inaugural Run On September 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the green flag for the first orange Vande Bharat Express on its journey from Kasaragod to Tiruvananthapuram.

This marked a significant milestone, with the Prime Minister simultaneously initiating nine pairs of Vande Bharat trains, showcasing India’s technological advancements in rail travel.
