Starting from today, which is September 8th, the G20 Summit has commenced in Delhi. Every detail, from the roads to the buildings and even the central park, has been beautifully adorned for this grand event.
West to Wonder Park: A Thematic Marvel
One of the highlights is the West to Wonder Park, where sculptures are meticulously crafted from scrap materials.
Even foreign guests coming to Delhi are likely to be intrigued by this park, designed around the theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” Let’s explore this park in more detail.
Theme of the Park
To make the G20 Summit memorable, a park in Delhi has been constructed with the theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.
” This park will showcase the national animals and birds of every country participating in the summit. All these sculptures have been prepared under the West to Wonder project.
What’s Special in the Park
West to Wonder Park offers lush greenery and various amenities. Additionally, there will be inscriptions about the animals and birds of each country alongside their sculptures, making it easy for visitors to identify the participating nations and their national fauna.
Sculptures Made from Scraps
The sculptures in the G20 Park have been ingeniously created from discarded materials, appearing lifelike to the beholder.
For this, 25 artists from 18 Indian states have worked with scrap materials, crafting statues that stand between 5 to 7 feet tall.
Animals and Birds in the Park
The park features sculptures of various animals and birds, including the Indian Peafowl, American Bison, Brazilian Jaguar, Crowned Crane from China, Saudi Arabian Oryx,
Korean Magpie, Australian Emu, Canadian Grey Jay, Russian Brown Bear, and Mexican Golden Eagle. It’s worth noting that the G20 includes the European Union and 19 other countries in its summit.
