This train runs to the Bhagda-Nangal Dam. It operates to take passengers from one side of the dam to the other so they can see the dam. No ticket is required for this journey.
Tourists Flocking from Far and Wide
Tourists from distant places come to see the Bhagda-Nangal Dam, located on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. They use this train to cross from one side to the other.
The train passes through the Satluj River and the Shivalik mountains. Covering a short journey of 13 kilometers, this diesel-powered train is made of wooden coaches.
Even today, around 800 people travel on this three-coach train.
