The Sacred Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Dham

If you wish to visit Parvati Kund, the nearest railway station is Kathgodam in Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand.

From there, it’s a picturesque 250 km journey through mountain roads, reaching an elevation of 5,338 feet.

Legend has it that Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati meditated at this very spot, attracting thousands of devotees annually.

Jageshwar Dham: An Ancient Marvel

Jageshwar Dham, situated approximately 40 km away from Almora, stands proudly at an altitude of about 6,200 feet above sea level.

This Shiva temple, around 2500 years old, is a marvel made of stone, housing 124 small temples.

It is believed that the tradition of Shiva worship originated here. Devotees come from far and wide to offer their prayers at this sacred abode of Lord Shiva, where idols of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Shakti, and Lord Surya are also revered.

How to Reach Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Dham

To reach Jageshwar Dham, you can take a taxi from Kathgodam or Dehradun, the neighboring districts.

Alternatively, you can reach the destination by air through the Pantnagar Airport in Kumaon and the Jolly Grant Airport in Garhwal.

Taxis to Jageshwar Dham are readily available from both Kathgodam and Dehradun. Experience the grandeur and spirituality of these temples by embarking on this divine journey.
