The Noida International Airport, currently under construction in Jewar, is set to offer state-of-the-art facilities to travelers.

In a significant development, the airport has signed a contract with Amadeus, a leading global travel technology company, to implement a world-class Passenger Processing System (PPS).

The system will include convenient self-service touchpoints such as check-in kiosks, automated bag drops, and eGates.

Enhancing Passenger Experience at Noida International Airport

According to Christoph Schnellman, CEO of the airport, utmost attention is being given to provide modern facilities and advanced technology to passengers at Noida International Airport.

The partnership with Amadeus will ensure efficient airport check-in, boarding, baggage matching, and Digi Yatra enabled biometric services at various passenger touchpoints.

The focus is to make the travel experience seamless and safe, minimizing inconvenience for travelers.

Amadeus’ Contribution to the Future of Noida International Airport

Sarah Samuel from Amadeus highlighted the joint efforts of Noida International Airport and their company in shaping the digital passenger experience of the future.

The collaboration will leverage cloud technology, self-service options, and biometric technology to create a comfortable and hassle-free airport experience with a range of amenities.

The airport will connect Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh to cities within India and across the world, offering enriching passenger experiences and comprehensive commercial services.

Amadeus, with its expertise in travel technology, will also assist travelers in finding travel agents, search engines, tour operators, airlines, airports, hotels, cars, and railways.

With over 30 years of experience in partnering with the travel industry, Amadeus has developed cutting-edge technology solutions.

In 2019 alone, the company sold 1.5 million copies of its technology in more than 190 countries.

Progress of Noida International Airport Construction

The airport construction work, spread across 1,300 hectares of land in Jewar, is progressing rapidly.

A runway and administrative building are nearing completion, and it is expected that the airport will be operational by April 2024.

The project aims to provide excellent connectivity between Delhi-NCR, western Uttar Pradesh, and other cities in India and around the world.

The construction work, including the Air Traffic Control (ATC) facility, is currently being carried out by a dedicated workforce of 600 to 100 workers and a substantial amount of machinery.
