To accommodate the large number of travelers during festivals, the railway is operating special trains. A new high-speed train service is now available between New Delhi and Patna.
Train number 02246 will depart from New Delhi at 11:45 PM on 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th November 2023, reaching Patna Junction at 03:50 PM the next day.
The return journey, train number 02245, will depart from Patna Junction at 07:00 PM on 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th November 2023, arriving in New Delhi at 10:30 AM the following day.

These special trains with economy class coaches will stop at important stations like Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara, and Danapur in both directions.
Additionally, special trains will also run between Anand Vihar Terminal-Lucknow and Anand Vihar Terminal-Varanasi.
Anand Vihar to Lucknow
Train number 04494, Anand Vihar Terminal-Lucknow Superfast Special, will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 08:30 AM on 10th November 2023, reaching Lucknow at 06:00 PM the same day.
The return journey, train number 04493, will depart from Lucknow at 08:45 AM on 12th November 2023, reaching Anand Vihar Terminal at 06:15 PM.
Anand Vihar to Varanasi
Furthermore, train number 04498, Anand Vihar Terminal-Varanasi Superfast Special, will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 08:30 AM on 11th November 2023, arriving in Varanasi at 11:30 PM the same day.
