The Indian Railways has introduced semi-high-speed train services called Vande Bharat Express, which has made travel easier and faster for millions of passengers.

With these trains, people can reach their destinations in less time. The government’s plan is to connect 150 cities across the country through the Vande Bharat Express.

In the future, other trains like Intercity and Shatabdi could also be replaced by Vande Bharat Express.

Central Railway Boosts Speed of CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express

The Central Railway has announced the increase in speed for the CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express, which operates on the Igatpuri-Manmad route.

This semi-high-speed train is being prepared to run at a speed of up to 130 kilometers per hour.

Enhanced Speed for a Faster Journey

The Vande Bharat Express, which travels to Shirdi, will soon be able to reach a speed of 130 kilometers per hour.

This train is designed to reach speeds of up to 180 kilometers per hour. However, due to track conditions,

it has been running at an average speed of around 83 kilometers per hour for the past two years. The Railway Board has started track improvement work to increase the train’s speed.

Improvements Coming Soon

Once the track repair work is completed, the speed of the semi-high-speed train will be increased. This enhancement will reduce the travel time to Shirdi by about 30 minutes.

Improved tracks will also benefit other trains using this route. The Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express is the country’s tenth Vande Bharat train.

Details of Mumbai CSMT-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express

This express train (train number 22223) operates between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Sainagar Shirdi Terminal.

It departs from Mumbai at 6:20 AM and makes stops at Thane, Kalyan, and Nashik Road railway stations. It reaches its destination at around 11:30 AM.

From Shirdi, the train starts at 5:25 PM and arrives in Mumbai at 10:50 PM.
