Kolkata’s waiting time has reduced to 126 days. However, cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad still have waiting times of more than 500 days.

According to data from the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, by September 2023, over 150,000 Indians have traveled to the United States.
The US Mission in India received a record ten lakh non-immigrant visa applications last month, showing a 20% increase from 2019.

The waiting times for US visas in different Indian cities are as follows:
- New Delhi: 37 calendar days
- Kolkata: 126 calendar days
- Mumbai: 322 calendar days
- Chennai: 541 calendar days
- Hyderabad: 511 calendar days
