Breaking Delhi’s US Visa Wait Time Now Just One Month!

In recent times, waiting for a US visa in New Delhi has decreased from 543 days to just over a month.

Kolkata’s waiting time has reduced to 126 days. However, cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad still have waiting times of more than 500 days.

Increasing Number of Indian Travelers to the United States

According to data from the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, by September 2023, over 150,000 Indians have traveled to the United States.

The US Mission in India received a record ten lakh non-immigrant visa applications last month, showing a 20% increase from 2019.

Visa Processing Times in Major Indian Cities

The waiting times for US visas in different Indian cities are as follows:

  • New Delhi: 37 calendar days
  • Kolkata: 126 calendar days
  • Mumbai: 322 calendar days
  • Chennai: 541 calendar days
  • Hyderabad: 511 calendar days
