You can make the most of the holidays in October and spend quality time with your family and friends.

Plan Your Getaway Smartly

If you’re planning a vacation in October, it’s essential to know the best time to travel.

This article discusses the holidays and long weekends in October, helping you plan your trips effectively.

Utilize the long weekends and holidays to create a well-thought-out travel plan.

October Holidays and Long Weekends

The month begins with a long weekend. October 30th and 1st are the weekend days, and Gandhi Jayanti falls on the 2nd.

If you also have Saturday and Sunday off, you get a three-day long weekend. Sharad Navratri starts on October 15th, Mahanavami is on October 23rd, and Dussehra is on October 24th.

Some places observe a two-day holiday for Navami and Dussehra, while others have only Dussehra off.

At the end of the month, on October 31st, we celebrate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday as National Unity Day, providing additional time off in many regions.

This October, there are a total of 5 Sundays, and banks will be closed on these five Sundays.

Ideal Travel Dates in October

If you’re eager to make the most of the upcoming holidays, consider planning a long weekend trip at the beginning of the month during the Saturday-Sunday weekend.

This way, you can enjoy a three-day break. Another opportunity for a short vacation arises on the 21st-22nd weekend, followed by Dussehra on the 24th.

By taking a day off on the 23rd, you can have a delightful four-day trip.
