This station is called Mathura Junction, and it’s part of the North Central Railway network, one of the biggest railway junctions in India.

Mathura Junction is located in Mathura city, known as the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna and a significant pilgrimage site.

This station is a vital hub as it serves seven different routes: east, west, north, and south.

Daily Train Routes

Among the busiest railway stations in India, Mathura Junction boasts ten platforms, ensuring trains pass through here around the clock.

Trains originating from Delhi, heading towards states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan,

Chhattisgarh, and many more, frequently pass through Mathura Junction. Travelers can catch trains here from early morning until late at night.

Handling 197 Trains

According to India Rail Info, Mathura Junction witnesses the movement of 197 trains. These include Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi, Garib Rath, 57 Mail Express, and 6 Sampark Kranti trains.

Additionally, there are 114 Superfast trains that pass through Mathura Junction. Every day, 13 trains start their journey from this station, making it possible to travel to most major cities across the country.

Mathura Junction saw its first train in 1875, marking the beginning of its long and bustling history.
