The country is continuously working on improving its transportation network. Several projects are underway to enhance connectivity and reduce travel time for passengers.

In this series of projects, a new initiative has been launched that will connect Panipat to Delhi Airport in just 20 minutes.

Benefits for Northern States

This new project, which plans to build a new tunnel from Panipat to Delhi Airport, aims to benefit travelers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh.

The project is designed to improve transportation facilities for local residents and tourists while reducing travel time.

The Ring Road Urban Extension Project

Central Minister Nitin Gadkari announced this project, known as the Ring Road Urban Extension Road (UR-2), which will start from Panipat and connect to Delhi.

The primary goal of this project is to alleviate traffic congestion on the road between Dhaula Kuan in Delhi and Gurugram.

Addressing Traffic Challenges

It is said that this project could potentially reduce traffic by up to 50%.

What previously took 2 hours, especially on the road from Panipat, can now be completed in just 20 minutes.

However, it’s worth noting that this project has faced significant challenges along the way.

The Completion of the Dwarka Expressway

According to Central Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, the Dwarka Expressway project is nearing completion and will soon be operational.

With this project, people from Dwarka and Old Gurugram can use the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to travel from Sohna to Jaipur in just 2 hours.

The completion of this expressway is also expected to ease traffic congestion on the Gurugram-Jaipur National Highway.
