Traveling during these fasting days, especially for short trips of one or two days, can be a bit challenging.

Understanding this, IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has introduced special Satvik meal services during Navratri on more than 96 railway stations across the country.

What’s Included in Satvik Meals

Navratri travelers can enjoy a variety of healthy and tasty options in the Satvik menu. It includes ingredients like tapioca, rock salt, and buckwheat.

Dishes such as Cumin Potatoes, Potato Tikki, Sabudana Khichdi, Sabudana Vada, Malai Barfi, Lassi, Fox Nuts (Makhana), fasting-friendly vegetables, Peanut Snacks, and Plain Yogurt are part of this special menu.

Railway Stations Offering Satvik Meals

This Satvik meal service is available not only in New Delhi but also at stations like Kanpur Central, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Jaipur, Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Ambala Cantt, Jhansi,

Aurangabad, Akola, Itarsi, Vasai Road, Nasik Road, Jabalpur, Surat, Kalyan, Borivali, Durg, Gwalior, Mathura, Nagpur, Bhopal, and Ahmednagar, among others.

How to Order Satvik Meals

To ensure you get your Satvik meal on time, it’s advisable to place your order at least two hours before your journey begins.

You can do this through IRCTC’s E-catering website. Both pre-payment and pay-on-delivery options are available.

Once you’ve placed your order, your meal will be delivered right to your seat at the respective stations. Don’t miss the chance to relish Satvik goodness while you travel!
