Mandatory Registration for Banke Bihari Temple Visit

With the large number of people visiting Banke Bihari Temple daily, especially during Janmashtami, authorities have introduced a new rule.

Now, you must register beforehand to be able to see Banke Bihari Ji.

To register, you can either do it online or show identification documents at the temple without registration.

Additionally, live streaming of the Mangala Aarti during the third Janmashtami will be arranged.

Best Times to Visit Banke Bihari Temple

For a pleasant visit to Banke Bihari Temple, it’s best to plan between February to April and October to December. These months offer favorable weather conditions in Mathura for both locals and tourists.


Temple Timings and Entry Information

Banke Bihari Ji Temple opens its doors every day without any entry fee. During summers, you can visit from 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM in the morning and 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM in the evening.

In winters, the timings are 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM in the morning and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the evening. Keep in mind that timings might change, so plan accordingly.

Reaching Banke Bihari Temple

Banke Bihari Temple is located in Mathura, and you can reach there by hiring taxis or auto-rickshaws from Mathura or Vrindavan.

The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, approximately 161 kilometers away.

The closest railway station is Mathura Junction, well-connected to major cities across the country. The temple is about 12 kilometers away from Banke Bihari Temple.
