Bihar is set to receive enhanced rail services with the introduction of two new Vande Bharat Express trains and three Vande Metro trains.
The Railway Board has given its approval for these trains, which will offer improved connectivity in the state.
Vande Bharat Express Expanding Connectivity
The Vande Bharat Express train service is expanding in Bihar, with two new routes being approved.
The first route will run between Patna and Malda in West Bengal, operating six days a week.
The second route will connect Gaya and Howrah, with three days of service each week.
These new trains will significantly reduce travel time for passengers commuting between Bihar and West Bengal.
Vande Metro Trains for Short-Distance Connectivity
In addition to the Vande Bharat Express trains, Bihar will also benefit from three Vande Metro trains.
The Vande Metro trains are designed for shorter distances, connecting cities more efficiently.
These trains will operate between Jamalpur to Malda, Bhagalpur to Howrah, and Bhagalpur to Deoghar, providing regular service six days a week.
Expanding Connectivity in Bihar
The new Vande Bharat Express train running between Patna and Malda will pass through Bhagalpur and Jamalpur, benefiting other cities in Bihar as well.
The Eastern Railway has issued the notification for these trains, and passengers can expect the announcement of their operation date soon.
Additional High-Speed Rail Services
The Railway Board has generously gifted Bihar with five Vande Bharat and five Vande Metro trains, enhancing the rail infrastructure in the region.
As part of this gift, Vande Bharat trains will also serve routes between Asansol to Banaras and Ranchi, further benefiting passengers in Bihar and beyond.
