You might have heard about luxurious hotels, seen their pictures, and even known some famous actors who celebrated their honeymoons there.

But today, we’re going to talk about the world’s first underwater hotel.

It’s a place of stunning beauty, where even renowned celebrities like Kajal Aggarwal have celebrated.

However, the cost of staying here might leave you amazed.

An Exclusive Underwater Experience

Recently, even Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, was offered a chance to stay here.

But he hesitated after seeing the images! He shared his thoughts about it. Let’s understand why he had concerns through a video.

Anand Mahindra’s Reaction and Video Share

Anand Mahindra shared a video of the hotel on Twitter. He wrote that the Muraka Maldives is the world’s first underwater hotel suite.

He received the suggestion that it would be comfortable for a weekend stay.

He humorously mentioned his thoughts about sleeping with eyes wide open on the glass ceiling.

In the video, you can see marine life all around. The video garnered over 150,000 views shortly after being shared.

Exploring the Muraka Maldives Underwater Hotel

This unique hotel, named Muraka, was opened in the Maldives in 2018.

Situated about 16 feet below the sea, this villa cost around $15 million to build. Staying here comes with a hefty price tag.

You can’t just book a single night; you have to opt for a package.

A four-night package costs around $200,000, which is roughly about 1.5 crore rupees. So, a single night’s stay would cost around 3.7 million rupees.

A 180-Degree Marine Life View

What’s special about this villa is that you can see everything clearly from inside the room, both above and below the sea.

You get to enjoy a 180-degree marine life view. Guests first arrive at the main resort and then use a private seaplane, jet, or speedboat to reach the underwater hotel.

This two-story villa is made from steel, concrete, and acrylic. It features two bedrooms, a gym, and a bathroom.

There’s also a powder room, kitchen, bar, and dining area for a complete experience.
