The revered Baba Badrinath Dham, an important destination of the sacred Chardham Yatra, has opened its doors.
Thousands of devotees are flocking to Badrinath Dham daily for pilgrimage.
To ensure a smooth experience, the Uttarakhand government has made registration mandatory for the Char Dham Yatra 2023.
Both online and offline registration options are available to facilitate the process.
Without registration, devotees will be unable to have darshan (worship) at Badrinath Dham.
Offline registration facilities are available in Rishikesh, Haridwar, and other major cities.
However, it is advisable for devotees to start their journey to Badrinath only after completing online registration from the comfort of their homes, thus avoiding potential issues.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to register online for the Chardham Yatra.
Step 1: Gather Required Documents
Before proceeding with online registration, ensure that you have the necessary documents for identification.
Acceptable documents include Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Voter ID Card.
Step 2: Visit the Official Website
To begin the registration process, visit the official website of Uttarakhand Tourism: registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. The homepage of the website will appear.
Step 3: Access the Registration Form
Locate the “Register/Login” button on the right-hand side of the homepage. Click on it to access the registration form.
Step 4: Fill in the Registration Form
Enter the requested information in the registration form, such as your name and mobile number.
Create a password and confirm it. Click on the “Sign Up” button to complete the registration. Your account is now created, and you need to proceed to the login step.
Step 5: Login to Your Account
Click on the “Login” button at the top right corner of the page next to the registration button.
Enter your username, mobile number, and the password you created during registration.
Fill in the captcha code when prompted. Click on the “Sign In” button to log in to the website.
Step 6: Scan and Upload Documents
Once logged in, you can fill out the online registration form for the Char Dham Yatra.
Additionally, you will need to scan and upload photographs of your important documents.
On your personal dashboard, located on the login page, click on the “Add/Manage Pilgrims for Pilgrimage” option.
Provide the pilgrimage dates, number of passengers, and tour plan details.
After completing the registration process, you will receive a unique registration number via SMS on your mobile device.
