In Hinduism, the nine days of Navratri hold immense significance. Each day, devotees worship one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga.
On the sixth day of this auspicious festival, Goddess Katyayani is revered. It is believed that she incarnated as the daughter of Sage Katyayan, hence the name Katyayani.
Goddess Katyayani was born to annihilate a wicked demon. She is depicted with four arms, holding a sword in one hand and a lotus in another.
The other two arms are in a blessing posture, and she wears a garland of white flowers. Katyayani is considered the warrior form of Goddess Durga.
Mantra for Worshiping Goddess Katyayani:
Chandrahasojjvalakara, Shardulavaravahana। Katyayani Shubham Dadyat, Devi Danavaghātinī।।”

“Kleem Shree Trinetrāyai Namah।”
