If you want to visit sacred Jyotirlingas in India by train, we have good news for you. Now, you can start packing your bags for a pilgrimage tour.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) will operate three trains under the Bharat Gaurav Train Scheme starting from September 27th.

Currently, bookings for these trains are open. The train has a total of 813 seats, with 600 in the sleeper class and 213 in the third AC class.

Indian Railways is also offering a discount of approximately 33% on train fares to promote rail tourism.

Sanjeev Kumar, the Chief Supervisor of IRCTC Tourism Department, mentioned that there is considerable interest from pilgrims for booking tickets on the Bharat Gaurav Train.

Tour Schedule and Destinations

The Bharat Gaurav Train will commence its journey from Katihar on September 27th. It will take travelers to various pilgrimage destinations such as Purnia Court,

Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Nirmali, Jhanjharpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur Junction, Patliputra, Ara, Buxar, Dildarnagar, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Station.

This 11-night and 12-day journey offers sleeper class tickets for INR 19,980 and third AC class tickets for INR 31,850.

Accommodations and meals will be provided, with vegetarian food served. Passengers will receive morning and evening tea along with two bottles of water daily.

The train will have security guards, cleaners, and tour escorts on board, along with a medical team for passenger safety.

Places to Visit During the Journey

Sanjeev Kumar also shared that during the pilgrimage journey, travelers can visit the sacred shrines of Ujjain’s Shri Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar,

Dwarka’s Shri Nageshwar and Dwarkadhish Temple, Somnath’s Shri Somnath Temple, Shirdi’s Sai Baba Temple, Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirling, Trimbakeshwar Temple in Nasik,

and Shani Shingnapur Temple. The journey will conclude on October 8th. Those interested in booking tickets can visit the official website www.irctctourism.com or visit IRCTC’s regional office at Biscomaun Tower (Fourth Floor).
