In Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, plans have begun to set up a Tent City once again.

This year, the Tent City will be ready on the sand by November 15th. If everything goes well, bookings for this will start from November 1st.

The Varanasi Development Authority has initiated the preparations, and the construction of the Tent City will commence once the water level in the Ganges returns to normal.

Two Clusters of Cottages

Varanasi Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma mentioned that, similar to last year, two clusters with approximately 250 luxury cottages will be established.

Additionally, two companies will rebuild the spiritual Tent City in another cluster.

250 Cottages to Be Constructed

According to reports, Praveg Communication will construct 130 luxury cottages on a 30-hectare plot, while Lallu Ji and Sons will build 120 cottages in the second cluster.

These tents will provide tourists with luxury amenities akin to a five-star hotel.

Preparing for Dev Diwali

The General Manager of the Tent City, Abhishek Bhattacharya, stated that with the Tent City’s completion before Dev Diwali, there is hope for good bookings.

It’s worth noting that last time, around 10,000 tourists visited this Tent City.

Expecting Accommodation for 35,000 Travelers

Sunil Kumar Verma, the Secretary of Varanasi Development Authority, explained that all necessary arrangements for setting up the Tent City will be completed as soon as the floodwaters recede. It is expected that this time, more than 35,000 tourists will enjoy their stay over a span of seven months.
