When traveling on the Delhi Metro, a significant number of people still have to stand in line to buy tickets.

This is especially troublesome for those who come from far away, enduring long queues during official hours.

However, now, thanks to the joint effort of DMRC and IRCTC, passengers won’t have to wait in line anymore.

Similar to railway, bus, and flight tickets, Metro tickets can now be booked in advance through IRCTC.

Partnership between DMRC and IRCTC

Just before Independence Day, on August 14th, IRCTC and DMRC signed an understanding to prioritize passengers’ convenience.

This agreement allows passengers to book QR-based Metro tickets through IRCTC, similar to rail, flight, and bus tickets.

This initiative, named “One India One Ticket,” aims to make travel comfortable and convenient for passengers.

It’s a joint effort by DMRC and IRCTC to benefit travelers, especially those who come from distant states to use the Delhi Metro.

This initiative will spare them the trouble of standing in long queues for Metro tokens at Delhi Metro stations, particularly during morning and evening rush hours.

According to DMRC, passengers will now be able to book Metro tickets through IRCTC. The “One India One Ticket” initiative aims to benefit both Metro and rail travelers.

Passengers can now disembark at their destination and move on without the hassle of standing in line for Metro tickets.

This collaboration between DMRC and IRCTC is expected to make travel smoother for everyone.
