A Garden Adorned with Millions of Tulips

Variety of Flowers and Unique Features

Situated amidst the hills of the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, this stunning garden boasts more than 1.5 million tulip flowers of around 68 varieties and different colors.

What sets this garden apart is its view of the famous Dal Lake of Srinagar. The garden is terraced on a sloping land, giving it a distinctive appearance.

Apart from tulips, you can also find other types of flowers like daffodils, hyacinths, and ranunculus here.

Inauguration and Annual Tulip Festival

History and Celebration of the Garden

Opened in the year 2007, this famous garden in Srinagar was established with the aim of promoting flower cultivation and tourism in the Kashmir Valley.

Spread across terraced levels, the garden has seven terraces. Additionally, every year during the beginning of spring, a Tulip Festival is organized here.

The festival showcases the array of flowers in the garden.

Getting to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden

Reaching the Garden

To reach the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, you can choose between air, rail, or road routes.

Upon arriving at the Srinagar International Airport or the railway station, you can take a cab or taxi to reach the Tulip Garden.

Besides the Tulip Garden, Srinagar offers various other tourist spots including Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh,

Nishat Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, Shankaracharya Temple, Hari Parbat, and more. The best time to visit is between March and October.
